with the participation of authors, publishers and translators as well as of public. Throughout the Symposium, which over 50 translators from 25 countries attended to, experiences on the translation of classics and contemporary titles of Turkish Literature into languages other than Turkish and publishing them abroad are shared. Besides, the methods followed for the translation of works on Turkish culture, art and literature into different languages and the publishing them in those languages has been discussed among the authors, translators, academicians, editors, publishers and copyright agencies in parallel sessions and various declarations have been submitted. With the generous contribution of participants the Symposium, in which crucial evaluations and fruitful projections are dealt, redounded opening new horizons and drawing more direct routes in the “Universal Journey of Turkish Literature”.
The symposium, which has wide functional framework such as promotion of Turkish Literature, art and culture; representing Turkish authors in international platform; boosting the quantity and the quality of the translations to be made from Turkish; fostering possibilities of collaboration in a worldwide range in the direction of sectoral construction, has been a landmark in point of widening the borders of dissemination of Turkish Literature abroad as well as showing that TEDA Project, the most important element of the dissemination, has become a global brand.
